Scrapbooking with In Stitche'z

Handmade makes the craft special.

Many people are flocking to using automated machines such as Cricut and other dye cut machines, which is fine, but why take all of your personal touches out of your scrapbook pages?

In Stitch'z is a great tool that makes it possible to sew on paper. It comes with several options: needles, templates ranging from letters to fancy borders, and piercing mat. You can also print more templates online on the Bazzill website.

In Stitch'z By Bazzill has become one of my favorite tools in transforming my scrapbook pages. It adds depth, color and texture. I will be honest, it took me a bit to get the hang of sewing on paper, not exactly the easiest medium to work with. It takes time, but the result is extremely worth it! The string you use can be found at any craft store, Bazzill sells their own line with the stencils you can use. I, however, like to save a little bit of money and buy the string used to make friendship bracelets. They have a bigger range of colors and you get more product for the money!

Tips and Tricks!

Bazzill has a great line of paper that is strong enough to handle this technique where the paper won't rip the second you insert the needle. I'm sure you're like, however, and hate to have my artistic abilities limited to one brand! I usually use In Stitch'z on 2 sheets of paper (much like in the first picture) to make it stronger.

You can also use packing tape on the back side of the paper to help reinforce the holes that you're creating.

Using dip-dyed yarn can create a great effect on your pages as well, see the second picture for an example.

Spend the extra money on the piercing mat! It is extremely worth and makes the craft so much easier!

Remember that it does not have to be perfect! That's part of a scrapbook pages character! Your viewers can tell when you've put in a lot work and when making gifts it means that much more!
